Offshore and More presenteert: Radio Luxembourg deel 12! Aanstaande donderdagavond 10 april van 20:00-22:00.

Aanstaande donderdagavond 10 april van 20:00-22:00 kun je op 192radio luisteren naar deel 12 van de serie programma’s over Radio Luxembourg tot 1970. Deel 12 gaat over de maanden januari t/m maart 1969. Kees Brinkerink laat nummers horen die in die maanden veel op Radio Luxembourg gedraaid werden en vertelt onder meer over de mate van succes van die nummers.

De Engelse zeezenders waren al een tijd weg en Radio Luxembourg had min of meer het rijk alleen in Engeland. De programmering was aangepast, zodat die op de voormalige zeezenders zou lijken, om luisteraars daarvan aan te trekken en om zodoende ook te concurreren met BBC Radio 1.

This coming Thursday, April 10th from 19:00 till 21:00 UK time, on www.192radio.nl. you can listen to part 12 in the series of programmes about Radio Luxembourg until 1970. Part 12 is about January – March 1969. Kees Brinkerink plays songs that were often heard on Radio Luxembourg in those months and he talks about the level of chart success of the songs, among other things.

The British offshore stations were all gone and Radio Luxembourg relatively had the airwaves to itself in the UK. Their programming had been adapted to resemble that of the offshore stations in order to attract their former listeners, and thus also to compete with BBC Radio 1.
